King Charles III Makes Historic First Royal Visit to Bermuda
King Charles III is currently on a two-day tour of Bermuda, marking the very first time that a king from Britain would be visiting one of its overseas territories. King Charles was given a rousing reception at Hamilton and St. George after he made a state visit to America recently.
During his visit to Bermuda, King Charles inspected the troops, talked about the environmental activities being done on Trunk Island, and participated in the celebration of the centennial of the local aquarium.
The trip of King Charles III comes on the heels of certain diplomatic tensions between the US President, Donald Trump, and the UK Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, over Iran. However, recent attempts at fostering better diplomacy, exemplified by the address of King Charles to the US Congress and the lifting of whisky tariffs in America, point to an improving relationship between the two allies.
